No plans for use by Doctors Goldfinger and Roth of this device in the fsture has resulted in a decision to terminate their authorization.
Written notification has been made to this decision earlier this year.

Inquiry No. 87-01 This refers to'a telephone inquiry by Mr. Steven Courtemanche of this office with Dr. Paul Goldfinger of your staff on March 4,1987. This inquiry concerned activities authorized by License No. SNM-1723, as they' relate to the pending need for renewal of your license.
- From this di.scussion, it is our understanding that you.have never used -
licensed material under the authorization of this license, and that your management is deciding whether to renew your license or terminate it.
In either case, we understand that this office will be notified of your decision in writing prior to March 31, 1987.
If our understanding is incorrect, please inform us in writing.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room.
