y a On March 25,1980, at 4:00 P.M. one local air monitor alarmed in the Auxiliary Building (305 ft elevation). Analy.<es of the sampler filters indicated 1 x 10-9 uCi/cc airborne particulate. Additional samples were taken and subsequent analyses indicated 5 x 10 i0 uCi/cc Betwt:en 6:00 P.M. nn March 25,1980, and 8:00 A.M. on March 26, 1980, loca air samplers cicraed on two occassions with various arec . enalysis results of 1.7 x 10- 0 to 1.3 x 10-9 uti/cc. The highest value was near the area of the B nakeup pump cubicle.

No filter downstream monitor indicated an effluent release.

These events are under review by the licensee and are being monitored by the NRC staff.

Media interest is expected because offsite notifications were made. A press release is not planned by the licensee. NRC onsite staf f is responding to inquirics. The Conmonwealth innsylvania was informed.
