362.5 During earthquake loading, the lateral pressures on below (2.5.4.10) grade walls can be large and approach passive pressures.
Show that the lateral pressures calculated using the dynamic coefficient (Kg) are adequately conservative by comparing the lateral loads from the dynamic coefficient methods with the lateral loads you calculated from the model for structure response to dynamic loading shown in Figure 3.7-14a.
362.6 The Poisson's ratio values provided in Section 2.5.4.2 and (2.5.4.2)
(App. 2.5D)
Table 2.5D-1 are not consistent. Explain why these values are different.
362.7 Provide the report of the studies relating to backfill (2.5.4.14) under Condensate Storage Tanks (page 2.5-144).
362.8 Provide a summary of gradation tests performed on backfill (App. 2.5H) material under Category I structures. How many such tests were performed?
362.9 Describe the method used to obtain unit weight (wet) values (2.5.4.2) in the Ringold Formation, as shown on Figure 2.5-64.
Provide a summary of the tests results and identify their source.
