In the Matter of ) Docket Nos. 50-327 Tennessee Valley Authority ) 50-328 SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN) - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANCE 87 FUNCTIONAL TESTING OF RADIATION NONITORS IN STEAM GENERATOR BLOWDOWN AND CONDENSATE DEMINERALIZER LINES In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, enclosed is a requested amendment to licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 that modifies the surveillance requirements (SR) for the radiation monitors in the steam generator blowdown and condensate domineralizer lines. SR 4.3.3.9 identifies that these instruments undergo a channel functional test which they were not designed to accomplish. The proposed amendment corrects the improperly specified channel functional test requirements.

Three enclosures are provided in support of the requested technical specification changes. The requested changes are identified in enclosure 1.

The justification for the requested technical specifications changes is provided in enclosure 2. A determination of no significant hazards consideration performed pursuant to 10 CFR Part 50.92 is provided in enclosure 3.
