Dear Sir:
1 am writing to request the renewal of the above mentioned NRC license to continue follow up procedures on implanted Coratomic Model C-101 nuclear powered cardiac pacemakers. Nine patients have had these pacemakers implanted. The pacemaker from two of these patients were explanted and returned to the manufacturer. The remaining seven patients are being followed, relative to license requirements, until the pacemakers are explanted and returnt d to the manuf acturer for disposal. No pacemakers of this type will be implanted in the future. The list of physicians noted in condition 16 of the license is complete l and current with one exception. At this time, Dr. Harrison Black's name should be removed f rom the list of authorized users. Goddard Memorial llospital holds NRC License No. SNM-1621. Consequently, no renewal fee is enclosed with this application.
