50-328 SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN) UNIT 2 - RESTART HOLDPOINTS Establishment of holdpoints for SQN unit 2 restart was discussed with members of the NRC staff during the meetings held February 5 and 6, 1987, at SQN.
The holdpoints that will be utilized in the unit 2 restart effort are as follows:
1.
Before entry into mode 4 (HOT SHUTDOWN) 2.
Before entry into mode 2 (STARTUP) 3.
Before entry into mode 1 (POWER OPERATION) 4.
Before exceeding 30-percent Rated Thermal Power 5.
Before exceeding 75-percent Rated Thermal Power A formal restart procedure is presently being drafted.
This procedure will outline the sequence in which events are to occur during the restart effort.
This sequence will include a management assessment of activities and plant status before proceeding beyond each of the above holdpoints. Under the present schedule, this procedure is expected to be issued and available for review by June 1, 1987.
