Andrew E. McNamara TELEPHONE 1 (315) 524-4446 EXT. 301 at Ginna I

MONTH December. 1986 The reactor power level was maintained at 100% through the 16th of the month.

On the 17th a Periodic Test on the Auxiliary Feedwater Pumps necessitated a power level reduction to - 98.5%

for a short period of time.

The power level was restored to 100%

l after completion of the test.

From December 19, through December 30, calorimetrics were performed using the leading edge flowmeter and the power level was not increased to 100% due to low feedwater pump suction pressure.

On December 31 the calorimetrics were performed using the feedwater venturis which indicated the power level to be at 100% due to feedwater venturis fouling.

Reactor power levels ranged from 98.30% to 99.55% during this period.
