Dear Dr. Grace:

On July 21,1986, Carolina Power & Light Company received IE Bulletin No. 86-02, Static "O" Ring Differential Pressure Switches, requesting that licensees of nuclear power reactors take certain actions if SOR, Inc., Series 102 and 103 differential pressure transmitters are used in important to safety applications as defined in 10 CFR 50.49(b).

We have reviewed the applicable plant documentation and determined that Robinson Unit No. 2 and Brunswick Unit Nos. I and 2 do not utilize SOR, Inc., Series 102 and 103 differential pressure transmitters in important to safety applications as defined in 10CFR50.49(b). Therefore, no further action is required in response to the bulletin.
