.; w Contract No. NRC-04-96-060 Modification No.17, Page 2 of 2 The purpose of this modification is to (1) decrease the ceiling of the contract by $23,212.00 from j

$2,858,689.91 to $2,835,477.91 to reflect a reduction in the amount of effort needed to complete the work associated with Modification No.10 to this contract, as indicated in the Contractor's proposal dated September 10,1999, as revised September 21,1999, (2) deobligate funds in 'i the amount of $23,212.00, and (3) perform an administrative change to extend the period of 3 performance in relation to Modification No.16, as the extension was inadvertently omitted from j the modification. Accordingly, the contract is modified as follows:

Under Section B.3, " Consideration and Obligation - Cost Plus Fixed Fee," paragraphs a, e, and f are deleted in their entirety and replaced with the following in lieu thereof:

"a. . The total estimated cost to the Govemment for full performance of this contract is

$2,835,477.91 of which the stam of $2,645,373.90 represents the estimated reimbursable costs and of which $190,104.01 represents the fixed fee. l

, e. The amount presently obligated by the Govemment with respect to this contract is $2,833,276.00.

f. It is estimated that the amount currently allotted will cover performance through November 30,1999."

Section F.6, " Duration of Contract Period (MAR 1987), Altemate 2 (MAR 1987)," is hereby deleted in its entirety and substituted with the following:

"This contract shall commence on 09/23/96 and will expire on 11/30/99. The term of this

- contract may be extended at the option of the Govemment for one additional 1-year option period and one additional 22-month option period."
