Milam Documents--Proprietary Claims
Dear Mr. Smith:
I am in receipt of your letter to me dated January 19, 1987 on this same subject.
My clients and I appreciate your timely review and response and we note with interest your privacy request on page two.
Acting on that request we reviewed portions of the Stokes Report and the Milam work record and have determined that the references we noted wherein individual General Electric managers and employees are referred to in these records do not constitute the type of information that we consider to be of_an intimate privacy nature--medical information, private non-work related information, etc.
Accordingly, we have no legal basis to withhold the subject documents from public release.
In the spirit of coopermtion and fairness to your position, however, the NRC will delay its release of the subject documents for ten days from your receipt of this letter in order to allow you an opportunity to attempt to identify specific personal privacy information.
We will review each finding on a case-by-case basis and then make our final release determination.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
