STA.FF REQUIREMENTS - COMSECY-99-029 - CONTINUED STATE PRESENCE AT PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN NUCLEAR POWER FACILITIES UNDERGOING DECOMMISSIONING The Commission has approved the staff's recommendation to send letters to the State Liaison ,
Officers in Connecticut and Maine, and has approved the addendum to Subagreement No. 3 j with the State of Illinois, as described in COMSECY-99-029, subject to the following clarifications: (
(1) In Attachment 1, Section til (Modifications), Subpart H, add "and approval" so that the sentence concludes as follows: I i
" . scheduled inspection to allow sufficient time for NRC review and approval." I (2) in Attachment 1, Section lli (Modifications), Subpart I, insert "only" so that the sentence i reads as follows: l l
"The State will perform decommissioning safety inspections only in accordance with the inspection plans using applicable procedures in the NRC Inspection Manual."
