M00p G T VALLEY SITE OBSERVATIONAL WORK PLAN 1996 PAHL staff have reviewed the 1996 Site Observational Work Plan for the Monument Valley site. We have two observations regarding the Work Plan.

DOC is considering the f1ve remedtal opttons below:

- a. extraction and evaporation
- b. extraction and land application
- c. extraction, treatment, and land application
- d. extraction, treatment, and inflitration
- e. in situ bioremediation.
In situ bioremediation is experimental for nitrate and urantum.
It does not have a EPA approved procedure. Therefore, this option may pose a somewhat greater risk to successful remediation.
2.
There is no reference in the document to the temporary alternate water supply that was sentioned in the cover letter.
