Dear Senator Landrieu:
I am responding to your letter dated October 21,1997, addressed to Mr. Dennis K.

The matter of Louisiana Energy Services' application to construct and operate a uranium enrichmer,t plant in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana continues to be the subject of an ongoing formal adjudication before the Agency, Therefore, I trust that you will understand why the Commission cannot respond, at this time, to the substance of your constituent's concerns without raising questions of prejudgment.
