ALLEGATION FOLLOW-UP AND COMPLETION DOCUMENTATION
REFERENCES:
(1) Regional Instruction No. 1200.10 dated December 22, 1982; Handling of A11r.gations (2) R.W. Starostecki memo for all DPRP Professional Staff dated October 20, 1983; Handling of Allegations References (1) and (2) provide various instructions regarding handling of allegations including the determination of appropriate-follow-up actions and the documentation of those actions, both initially upon receipt of the allegation and ultimately upon completion of the follow-up activity.
I will soon be meeting with each DPRP Section Chief to review the status of allega-tions at their assigned facilities, planned changes in the regional allegation management system, and interim changes to the regional allegation tracking At that time. I will also discuss various methods for documenting system.

I have recently completed such meetings with J. Joyner, J. Glenn, and J. Kinneman regarding allegations pertaining to materialc licensees. Subsequent to those meetings, I have received several memos that have been written for materials licensees to document the planned follow-up actions for open allegations or the completed actions for closed allegations.
I consider these memos excellent.
examples of the type of documentation that is appropriate for allegation follow-up/ completion memos.
