Enclosed is an application for a license (XSNM03106), recently received by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the export of natural and low-enriched uranium, for use as reload fuelin the Tsuruga Unit 1 nuclear power plant in Japan. Assurances from Japan are required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.

Please note that a portion of the materialis of Canadian origin.
