BASES 3/4.7.1.7 FEEDWATER ISOLATION VALVES
- 1) provides OPERABILITY of the feedwater isolation valves:
h a pressure boundary to permit auxiliary feedwatar addition in t e event of a main steam or feedwater line break inside containment; and 2) ensures that no more than one steam generator will blo System positive reactivity effects of the Reactor Coolant limits the pressure cooldown associated with the blowdown, and b) OPERABILITY of the feedwater isolation rise within containment.
valves within the closure times of the Surveillance Requirements is consistent with the assumptions used in the safety analysis.
