Dear Sir,

In the referenced letter, BNFL Fuel Solutions (BFS) committed to provide the results of the impact limiter drop test by the end of September 1999. That schedule was predicated upon satisfactory comparison f the corresponding analyses of the TranStor baskets to the successful results of the impact limiter tests. Those analyses are ongoing; therefore, BFS will not issue the results of the impact limiter drop tests by the end of September 1999. When the basket analyses are sufficiently completed, BFS will inform the NRC of the submittal date for the Impact Limiter Drop Test Report.

The new commitments made in this submittal are identified on Page 3.
