Questions:
1.
Name of facility.
i 2.
Scheduled date for next refueling shutdown.
3.
- Scheduled date for restart following refueling.
j 4.
Will refueling or resumption of operation thereafter require a technical specification change or other license amendment?
J If answer is yes, what, in general, will these be?
I If answer is no, has the reload fuel design and core configuration been reviewed by your Plant Safety Review j
Conunittee to determine whether any unreviewed safety questions j
are associated with the core reload (Ref. 10 CFR Section 50.59)?
I j
If no such review has taken place, when is it scheduled?
5.
Scheduled date (s) for submitting proposed licensing action and supporting information.
6.
Important licensing considerations associated with refueling, e.g., new or different fuel design or supplier, unreviewed 4
design or performance analysis methods, significant changes in fuel design, new operating procedures.
7.
The number of fuel assemblies (a) in the core and (b) in the spent fuel storage pool.
8.
lhe present licensed spent fuel pool storage capacity and the size of any increase in licensed storage capacity that has been requested or is planned, in number of fuel assemblies.
9.
The projected date of the last refueling that can be discharged to the spent fuel pool assuming the present licensed capacity.

3.
Jamuary 7,1987 is the scheduled date for initial criticality following refueling.
4.
Technical Specification changes will be required to permit tube sleeving as a method of steam gent.rator repair.
A reload safety evaluation review took place April 1, 1986 and identified no unreviewed safety questions.
However, because the current cycle has run longer than assumed in the reload analysis, a second reload safety review will be held in December to discuss the changes.
5.
The sleeving Tech. Spec. change was submitted in May, 1986.
The vessel heatup and cooldown curves will be submitted when avail:ble (September).
6.
None 7.
The number of fuel assemblies a) in the core is 193, and b) in the spent fuel storage pool which have been discharged by Zion Unit 1 is 497.
8.
The present licensed spent fuel pool storage capacity (shared with Zion Unit 2) is 2112 fuel assemblies.
The installation of the new storage racks has been completed.
9.
In 1995, Zion Station will lose full core discharge capability.
This date is based on a December,1983 study.
