SECY-86-336A - Proposed Revision to Part 110 Concerning Import of Uranium from South Africa The Conmission (with Chairman Zech and Commissioners Roberts and Asselstine agreeing) has approved the final rule with modifi-cations which would require a specific license for all imports of uranium, in any chemical or physical form, which comes directly or indirectly from South Africa for any end use.
Commissioners Bernthal and Carr approved the original staff proposed rule which included only a requirement for a specific license for uranium ore and oxide from South Africa.
The final rule shall be revised to conform to the above noted modifications and returned for signature and publication in the Federal Register.
