Dear Dr. Murley:
l Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p) of the Code of Federal Regulations please find enclosed one controlled copy of the revision of the Indian Point Units 1 & 2 Safeguards Contingency Plan.
A complete explanation of the changes can be found in the beginning of the plan.
This revision was discussed with members of NRC Pegion I staff who concurred with our evaluation that the changes do not decrea se the safeguards effectivoness of the Safeguards Contingency Plan for Indian l
Point Units 1 & 2.
In accordance with Sections 2.790(d) and 73.21 of the NRC Rules, Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations, correspondencc and reports to and from the NRC which identify a licensee 's control and accounting procedu re s for safeguarding licensed special nuclear mate rials or detailed security mea sure s for the physical protection of a licensed facility are exempt from disclo sure.
