I want to express my appreciation to you for continuing to work for NRC following your proposed date for resignation and during the tumultuous time that is associated with moving all your household effects and your family from one coast to another. This was a very special contribution on your part and one that I deeply appreciate. The projects that you were working on could not have been effectively performed without your continued support. Particularly laudable is your willingness to return from Portland, Oregon at your own expense to conduct the full participation exercise with the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. This was an event which was especially benefitted by your presence.

I have valued your work for the NRC over the two and a half years that you have worked for me. It is rare to find someone who is as self motivated as you. Your work has always been of the highest quality and it has been performed with cheerfulness and courtesy.
