River. Bend Station License:
NPF-47 During an NRC inspection conducted on' January 1 through February 15,-1987, one
~
violation.of NRC requirements was identified. -The violation involved inadequate procedures for co'ntrol of radioactivity.
In 'accordance with the
-" General Statement of Policy and Procedure for.NRC Enforcement Actions,"
10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1986), the violation is listed below:
Inadequate Procedures for Control of Radioactivity Technical Specification, paragraph 6.8.1.a, requires that procedures shall be established, implemented, and maintained for activities recommended.in Appendix A of Regulatory Guide 1.33, Revision 2, February 1978.
Paragraph 7 of Appendix A to Regulatory Guide-1.33~ delineates procedures for the control of radioactivity.
Contrary to the above,.it was found on February 9,1987, that there were no procedures in effect directing personnel exiting through portal radiation monitors as to what should be done if a portal monitor alarmed.
ThisEis a' Severity Level IV violation.
