Dear Mr. Moghamis:
This acknowledges receipt of the letter from A. Younis and M. Salem of your office, dated August 31,1999, in response to our letter dated August 2,1999, transmitting a Notice of Violation.
We have reviewed your corrective actions, which appear to be adequate, and have no further questions at this time. These corrective actions will be examined during a future inspection.

Re: Notice of Violation, dated August 2,1999
Dear Sir or Madam:
We are writing this letter in response to the notice of violation, dated August 2*,1999.
The notice states that we have been engaged in licensed activitie at the Naval Air Station, in Glenview, Illinois, which is an area under exclusive Federal jurisdiction, without submitting the required documents or otherwise notifying the NRC.
We understand the violation and have been working on it to try to solve the problem and to prevent further violations. The reason for the violation that has taken place is that the Radiation Safety Officer, Mr. Mohammad Salem, was out of town during that period of time and no other personnel were aware of the necessary procedures.
However, Applied GeoScience, Inc. has been working hard to take corrective actions.
From now on, Mr. Adam Moghamis, who has been through the nuclear safety class and is now licensed to operate the nuclear safety devices, shall carry the duties of the
' Radiation Safety Officer in case of his absence. At least one of the aforementioned personnel will be on duty at any point in time.
. Even though this project was one of short time and size, where work was no longer needed at, this corrective action will definitely be of use for future projects.

Full compliance was achieved on August 11*,1999, when Mr. Mohammad Salem went over the procedures with Mr. Adam Moghamis and notified him of the necessities to keep things running according to NRC protocol.
