Dear Ms. Grice:
This is in response to your letter dated June 20, 1986, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), two categories of documents pertaining to Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The enclosed Appendix A identifies documents which are being placed in the NRC's Public Document Room (POR), 1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC 20555, where they will be available for public inspection at no charge, or reproduction at a nominal charge of five cents ($0.05) per page, as specified in 10 CFR 9.14.
The documents will be filed in PDR folder F01A-86-476 under your name. We are enclosing a notice that provides charges and procedures for obtaining records from the PDR. Certain documents subject to category one of your request were addressed in NRC's response to a previous related request, F01A-86-403.
Additional documents subject to category two of your request, for which the staff noted the pertinent allegation number is RI-84-A-0173, have been addressed in NRC's response to another previous related request, F01A-85-79. These documents have been filed in PDR folders F01A-85-79 and F01A-86-403 under the names of Burke and Hodgdon, respectively.

The enclosed Appendix B identifies a document containing information which constitutes advice, opinions, and recommendations of the staff. This information is being withheld from public disclosure pursuant to Exemption (5) of the F0IA (5 U.S.C. 552(b)(5)) and 10 CFR 9.5(a)(5) of the Commission's regulations.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 9.9 of the Commission's regulations, it has been determined that the information withheld is exempt from production or disclosure and that its production or disclosure is contrary to the public interest. The persons responsible for this denial are the undersigned and Mr. Thomas E. Murley, Regional Administrator, Region I.

This denial may be appealed to the NRC's Executive Director for Operations within 30 days from the receipt of this letter. As provided in 10 CFR 9.11,
