Dear Mr. Feerst:

This is in response to your letter dated June 21, 1986, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, documentation pertaining to meetings between the NRC and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

The NRC has no records subject to your request. However, we have been informed that a member of the Nuclear Reactor Regulation staff attended meetings of the IEEE Subcommittee 3.3, Maintenance, Testing, and Surveillance, on February 6-7, 1985, in New York City; August 6-8, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois; and October 22-23, 1985, in San Francisco, California. The travel expenses were paid by the NRC.
