Dear Mr. Denton:
In response to the referenced letter, Georgia Power Company will either remove the inorganic r,ine coating in the Unit 1 diesel fuel oil storage tanks by start-up following the first refueling, or, prior to the first refueling, will provide justification to the staff that the coating does not need to be removed. Since this decision will occur prior to fuel load of Unit 2, the issue for Unit 2 will be resolved at that time.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will advise you at a later date as to when we will be prepared to discuss this subject with the staff.
If your staff requires any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
