By letter dated September 12, 1996, Commonwealth Edison Company (Comed) submitted a proposed license amendment to change the expiration date of tie Dresden Unit 2, Facility Operating License. The proposed amendment woulJ change the~ expiration date to have it expire 40 years from.the date of its issuance. During a teleshone conference on September-24, 1997, with-Mr. Terry Riely of-your staff, Comed informed-.the' NRC of its desire to withdraw the amendment.
Unless you notify the NRC within 15 calendar days of receipt of.
this letter that this information is. incorrect, we will consider the application to be withdrawn and close this action.
