and 50-459 NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER AND AMENDMENT OF LICENSE Take notice that on October 15, 1997, Ralph R. Mabey, Chapter 11 Trustee
(" Trustee") for Cajun Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. (" Cajun"), tendered for filing an Application for Transfer and Amendment of License.
The Trustee states that the purpose of the application is to carry out the terms of a settlement agreement between Cajun, Entergy Gulf States, Inc. ("EGSI"), and the Rural Utilities Service of the United States Department of Agriculture, which was approved by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, on August 26, 1996.
Pursuant to the August 26, 1996 Bankruptcy Court Order, the Trustee seeks authority to transfer Cajun's thirty percent undivided ownership interest in River Bend Station, Unit 1, which is a boiling water nuclear reactor located approximately two miles east of the Mississippi River in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, approximately 27 miles southeast of St. Francisville, Louisiana, and approximately 18 miles northwest of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to EGSI, which holds a seventy percent undivided ownership interest in River Bend Station, Unit 1.
