Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. H. D. Chaney of this office
during the period January 14-16, 1987, of activities authorized by NRC
Operating License R-23 for the. Texas A&M University AGN-201 reactor, and to.

the discussion of our findings with Dr. G. A. Schlapper at the conclusion of
the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included reactor operations, emergency
preparedness, radiation protection, and the physical security plan. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
NRC inspector.
The inspection findings are documented in the enclosed
inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

identified.
