APPLICANTS' MOTION TO ENLARGE TIME FOR FILING (1) FIRST PROGRESS REPORT, AND (2) RESPONSE TO CASE PLEADING ON HEARING SCHEDULE Pursuant to 10 CFR 2.711, the Applicants move (1) that the time within which they may file their first Progress Report (see ASLB Memo and Order of June 6, 1986) be enlarged from July 15, 1986, to July 30, 1986, and (2) that the time within which they may respond to
" CASE's Proposed Schedule for Hearings" be enlarged 8607110131 860703 PDR ADOCK 05000445 A
G PDR v
s.
e from July 10, 1986, to July 30, 1986.
In support of this motion the Applicants say as follows:
1.
Work on the Progress Report, which was begun shortly after the Board's order of June 6, 1986, was of necessity suspended following receipt of discovery in the Construction Permit Extension matter because the same people are involved in both.
2.
Consideration of the Applicants' position on the question of a hearing schedule in this proceeding following receipt'of the Board's order of June 12, 1986 and of " CASE's Proposed Schedule for Hearings" has not begun, because the people necessary to contribute to that consideration have been involved on a full-time basis on discovery in the Construction Permit Extension matter.
The Applicants require additional time to consider what, if any, changes in their position on the question of a hearing schedule are appropriate in light of the Board's order and the CASE filing.
3.
Completion of the Progress Report, which will resume on Monday, July 7, 1986, depends upon the making of the determinations described in the foregoing paragraph..-.
i i
4.
Certain of the people necessary to the completion of all of the foregoing, including counsel for the Applicants, either are presently on vacation or have plans for short vacations that cannot be altered without significant personal hardship.
5.
No hardship to CASE will result from the 1
allowance of this motion, given the position taken in
" CASE's Proposed Schedule for Hearings," which urges later rather than earlier hearings in the Operating License matter.
CASE has been informed of this motion and has indicated that it does not oppose the allowance of this motion.
