Exercise Report of the June 25, 1986, Exercise of the Nebraska and Iowa Offsite Radiological Emergency Preparedness Plans for the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station.

a This is to transmit a copy of the Exercise Peport of the June 25, 1986, joint exercise of the Nebraska and Iowa offsite radiological energency preparedness plans for the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station, at Blair, Nebraska. This was a partial participation exercise for both states.

This exercise was full participation for Washington and Sarpy Counties in Nebraska. Additionally Harrison arx1 Pottawattamie Counties in Iowa participated in the exercise under a State Compensatory Plan. The report dated August 22, 1986 was prepared by Region VII of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

There were no Deficiencies or Areas Recommended for Corrective Action observed at the exercise. Based on the results of this exercise, FEMA considers that offsite radiological emergency preparedness is adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate masures can be taken l

offsite to protect the health and safety of the public living in the vicinity of the site in the event of a radiological ee rgency.
