GNRO-97/00098 Gentlemen:

This letter provides replacement Technical Specification (TS) Bases pages associated with the referenced letter. The attached replacement pages incorporate previous written commitments that were discussed with the NRC Grand Gulf Project f

The calibration shall be performed such that fast ramp or step change to system components during calibratioris is performed to verify that the A,,b0 j response of the transmitter to the input change is prompt. Technicians i

These items are commitments made per Reference (to be filled in later).

The above statements are a condensed version of the words that appear on page 5 (paragraph 3, sentences 1,2 and 3) of GNRO-97/00037. The attached TS Bases pages show these words as they will appear in the TS Bases following approval of the proposed TS change.

-4 GNRO 97/00098 Page 2 of 2 These changes do not alter the Technical Specification amendment request and do not impact the "no significant hazards considerations " included in the request (GNRO-97/00037). The information included in the attachment merely reflects commitments that were previously included with the proposal to amend the Grand Gulf Technical Specifications, GNRO-97/00037. We believe the Technical Specification Bases changes are an appropriate method for administering compliance with such commitments.

Yours truly, M
