I August 30, 1999 ALL AGREEMENT STATES MINNESOTA, OHIO, OKLAHOMA, PENNSYLVANIA, WISCONSIN PROGRAM MANAGEMENT INFORMATION: REPORT ON THE ASSESSMENT OF QUALITY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THE INTEGRATED MATERIALS PERFORMANCE EVALUATION PROGRAM (IMPEP) REPORTS AND PROCESS (SP-99-060)

During the October 29-31,1998 All Agreement States Meeting several commenters raised concerns about the need for performance versus prescriptive-based reviews for sealed source and device evaluations. Enclosed for your information is the Review Group Report dated August 31,1998 on the Assessment of Quality and Effectiveness of the IMPEP Reports and Process which also raised this issue.
