2615 Dante CT Austin, TX, 78748 Email: lingzhu21@gmail.com General Comment I live in Austin TX. I travel to all major cities in US, including the ones in Texas, for over 2 decades now. I also love visiting small towns and wild places. History has shown that the poor and community of color are usually the hardest hit of all kinds of pollutions. Nuclear waste is more than just waste. Their radiation can cause cancers, posing risks to not only human, but also all the wildlife living there. No matter how strong the container seal is, over the lifetime of the nuclear waste, there will be leak. Will this project owner be there to clean those up? Pay for both the environment and human impacts? I don't think so. History again showed us that every time similar leak happens, the tax payers are on the hook to pay for the damage, and the original project company and the politicians who supported them are nowhere to be found.
