This letter constitutes written followup of a relief request to Technical Specification Requirements.

Specifically, temporary waiver of Technical Specifications requirements was requested, and subsequently granted, via telecon between Georgia Power Company (GPC) personnel, members of your staff, and a member of the NRC NRR staff on November 26, 1986.

This temporary relief from compliance with Plant Hatch Unit 2 Technical Specifications pertaining to the Main Control Roon Environmental Control System (MCRECS) was granted to allow startup of Plant Hatch Unit 2 - from the current refueling outage while NRR completes review of GPC's submittal of November 10, 1986, which proposed changes to the Technical Specifications pertaining to operability and surveillance requirements of the MCRECS.

During the period for which this temporary relief is granted, Plant Hatch Unit 2 will be operated pursuant to the MCRECS Technical Specifications, including surveillance requirements, proposed in GPC's submittal of November 10, 1986.
