This is a Category 3 meeting. Public participation is actively sought for this meeting to fully engage the public in a discussion of regulatory issues.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting is to provide information about an upcoming proposed rule to incorporate by reference American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) codes into the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations. Specifically, the NRC intends to incorporate by reference the 2019 Edition of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel (BPV) Code and the 2020 Edition of Operation and Maintenance of Nuclear Power Plants, Division 1, OM Code: Section IST. The NRC is also intends to incorporate by reference the 2011 Addenda to ASME NQA-1-2008, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications, (ASME NQA-1b-2011), and the 2012 and 2015 Editions of ASME NQA-1.
