This report contains the highlights of the Fort St. Vrain, Unit No.1, activities operated under the provisions of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Operating License DPR-34. This report is for the month of November 1986.

1.0 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE AND MAJOR SAFETY RELATED MAINTENANCE i

The reactor remained shutdown during the entire month of November for Environmental Qualification modifications.

The Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) was on site from November 3 to November 14 for an annual evaluation of Fort St.

Vrain.

A special fact finding program was conducted by Region IV during the week of November 17.

This included interviews with approximately one hundred Public Service Company employees.

Chairman Zech of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission visited Fort St. Vrain on November 24, 1986.

Reflector block shipping has been delayed until May,1987 so that maximum plant resources can be directed toward start up.

The annual inspection of the emergency diesel generators was completed. No problems were identified.
