INCIDENT INVESTIGATION WORKSHOPS In my letter to you dated December 8,1986 I indicated that I would inform you of the schedule for the regional workshops to discuss the Incident Investigation Program. Thus, I have enclosed the schedule and a preliminary agenda. Please note that we have included a session in the workshop on NRC's approach to Performance Indicators.
The regional administrator will invite each licensee _(senior site management and corporate representatives) in his region to the workshop.
In order to prepare for the workshop, copies of the revised Incident Investigation proce-dures, our resolution of industry comments, and background information on the Performance Indicator Program will be provided well in advance of the workshops. Since we anticipate representatives from NSAC will attend a work-shop, I have included a copy of these documents for your information and any distribution you believe appropriate.
Please contact Wayne Lanning (301/492-4491) regarding your plans to attend a workshop or if you have any questions about the workshops.
I greatly appreciate your efforts in reviewing the IIP procedures.
