COMJA-86 SECY-86 MATERIAL FALSE STATEMENTS In response to your request to delay issuing an SRM on material false statements in order to obthin DOJ views, Chairman Zech and Commissiener Roberts do not see any reason to delay issuing the SRM to await Department of Justice views. Commissioners Carr and Bernthal would wait only a short period of time for DOJ views (which has now occurred.)
Commissioner Bernthal also believes that it would be useful to hold a Commission meeting on the proposed SRM.
This completes action on COMJA-86-12.
