NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT 50-395/97-11
NOTICE OF VIOLATION-
Dear Mr.-Taylor:
On-September 6.J1997, the NRC completed an inspection at your V. C. Summer
reactor facility. The enclosed report presents the results of that
inspection.-

During the 6-weeks covered by this inspection period, your. conduct- of
activities at' the V. C. Summer facility was generally characterized by safety
-conscious operations and conservative decision making; however.Ltwo violations
!
of NRC requirements were identifled. Although your staff identified and
corrected calibration procedures that contained incorrect reactor trip

,
- set)oint time constants a Notice of Violation (Notice) is being issued to'
.emplasize the:importance of properly implementing Technical Specification
- . reactor trip setpoint requirements.
In addition you also missed:several
opportunities to identify and correct these_ procedural deficiencies during

- The violations are cited in the enclosed-Notice, and the circumstances ^
