Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Response to Regulatory Effectiveness Review On January 5,1987, the NRC issued the Regulatory Effectiveness Review report for THI-1.
It was requested that GPUN respond to the report within 45 days of the date of the report.
Upon review of the RER report and Inspection Report 86-15, which reviewed actions taken in response to the RER Team's preliminary findings, we believe that the significant concerns that were identified have been resolved.
We wish to comment on the RER report but due to the resource commitment to the current outage at THI-1, we will not be able to respond until 45 days after startup from the outage. We feel this is acceptable since no significant concerns are unresolved.
