We have reviewed your letter of September 3,1986, in response to our letter dated January 10, 1986. We find your reply is responsive _to the concerns raised in our letter except for item B.5(a).
Item B.5(a), has been discussed with Mr. Carl Garrison by Mr. Lasky of my staff during telephone conversations on October 8, 10 and 15, 1986. To close out this nonconformance related to activation energy for ethylene propylene material, NTS needs to provide a basis for the activation energy used.
Please provide us a written statement containing:
(1) a description of your position related to item B.5(a); and (2) the date your corrective actions and preventive measures were or will be completed.
The responses requested by this letter are not subject to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
