Attached please find the Phase ill Corrective Action Implementation Plan Matrix, Revision (1),
dated September 19,1997. With the exception of the corrective actions addressed during Phases I and 11, this matrix consists of the remaining corrective actions corresponding to the observations made during the NRC inspection of June 16-19,1997, SPEC's internal audit of July 7,1997, and the NRC inspection of July 9-10,1997. The Phase 111 matrix also includes corrective actions i
resu. ting from independent audit and root cause analysis conducted by Quality Management Support, Inc.
We recentlyJeceig and are in the process of eviewing NRC Inspection Report No, 71-0102/97-211 and Notice of Nonconformance dated August 28.1997. We will revise the Phase 111 implementation matrix to address any findings that have not already been identified during the closing meetings associated with the NRC inspections, if the Phase 111 matrix is revised, we will include it when we respond to the Notice of Nonconformance not later than September 28,1997.
Based on the audits and inspections we anticipate the need to submit an application to rcvise our QA program after the Phase 111 corrective actions have been completed.
