Region IV Security Meeting
Dear Richard:
Waterford 3 SES is coordinating a meeting of Region IV security persconel.
The meeting is scheduled for October 27 and 28, 1986, in Arlington, Texas at the Ramada Inn. We anticipate representation from each of nine utilities that operate a nuclear power plant in our region. These utilities have re-quested that the NRC, as in the past, attend the meeting. NRC Region IV participation is requested for October 28, 1986, from 09:30 to 11:30 o' clock.
As you know, several changes to USNRC 10CFR73.55 have been announced, and licensee's proposed security plan ammendments must be submitted by December 2, 1986. Region IV utilities would appreciate one or more NRC security specialist to meet with our group to discuss the new changes. In addition.
we anticipate some discussion concerning NRC security inspection procedures and policies.
We apologize for the relatively short notice. We hope that by holding the meeting in Arlington, travel and schedules of NRC personnel will not be a problem. Tenative arrangements have been discussed between your J. Kelly and our R. W. Lailheugue. Your assistance in this matter will be appreciated.
