PROCEEDINGS 2
CHAIRMAN PALL'.DINO:
Good morning, ladies and 3
gentlemen.
I apologize for the delay but this is an 4
affirmation / discussion session.
We have one item on the 5
agenda on which we are prepared to vote and I will ask the 6
Secretary to lead us through that item.
7 SECRETARY CHILK:
The one item, Mr. Chairman, is 8
SECY-86-159, the Uranium Millers' Motion to Amend Order 9
Establishing a Briefing Schedule.
10 In this paper, the Commission is being asked to 11 respond a May 9, 1986 request from the Uranium Mill Owners to 12 amend the Commission order which we issued on April 18, 1986 13 granting an informal hearing to the millers.
14 All Commissioners have approved an order which 15 denies the millers' request that the NRC staff be required to 16 submit an initial briefing or otherwise be required to 17 participate.
However, it does grant the millers' request for 18 an extdnsion of time in which to submit their brief until June 19 20, 1986.
20 Would you please affirm your votes?
21 (Chorus of ayes.)
22 SECRETARY CHILK:
The second item, Mr. Chairman, 23 dealing with the litigation of the Shoreham Emergency Planning 24 which was on the schedule is not ready for affirmation.
It is 25 being delayed and we will try to do that if all the documents I
i
4 1
are in following the staff meeting on the status of TVA 2
tomorrow if that is agreeable to all.
3 CHAIRMAN PALLADINO:
All right.
Thank you.
4 Anything more to come before us at this time?
5 SECRETARY CHILK:
I have nothing else, Mr. Chairman.
6 CHAIRMAN PALLADINO:
All right.
Then we will stand 7
adjourned.
8 (Whereupon, the above-entitled Commission meeting 9
was adjourned at 10:26 o' clock a.m., to reconvene at the Call 10 of the Chair.)
