I have reviewed the Oak Ridge Associated Universities' (0RAU) draft report on the " Review of Disposal Practices for Wastes Potentially Contaminated with Thorium - Wellman Dynamics Corporation - Creston, Iowa" by J. D. Berger.
Region III, NRC, has no reconnendations for changes and would advise " going to final."
Region III intends to review the practices at the specialty metal processing companies listed on pages 6 and 7 of the report (and in our jurisdiction) to determine if their practices for acceptance of waste is safe and within regulations.
