ENCLOSURE Page 1 of 1 IATEMENT OF CONCERN Minimum separation exists between high voltage Amerlock cables, safety train "A"
(brown) at penetration through wall into train "A"
vertical chase. The specific location is in the control building, Level "A", hallway 58, cable tray Nos. 1AE302 TEBG, IAE302TFBG, IAE302TGBG, and 1AE302THBG.
The specific equipment affected is the main distribution switchgear, "A"
level, Room 48, to Motor Control Centers.
RESPONSE TO CONCERN The separation criteria pertinent to this concern is identified in Specifi-cation X3AR01 with installation and inspections performed per Procedure ED-T-07.
Through Quality Control inspections based on the above criteria, three of the trays noted (IAE302TFBG, IAE302TGBG and 1AE302THBG) had been identified on Deviation Report ED-11,054 dated ' November 5,1985.
Violating cables in 1AE302THBG were reworked while the cables in the other trays were dispositioned "use as is".
The identification of these violations indicates the awareness and application of the separation criteria.
l However, the locations provided by the submitter and the locations ~of l
the previously noted violations do not coincide.
I A Quality Concern dated November 11, 1986, was received which identified
(
problems in the same four trays noted in this allegation.
These trays were examined in the identified locations and violations were noted in three of the four trays (IAE302THBG being the exception).
These violations were identified on Deviation Report ED-15118 and were dispositioned "use as is".
