Dear Mr. Brack:

This is in response to your letter dated November 23, 1986, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), access to NRC radiological surveillance reports on transuranium nuclides in the liquid waste stream effluents of operating nuclear power plants in the United States for the time period 1960-1986, or any NRC environmental surveillance report in cny biological medium which includes inventories of the transuranium nuclides.

Agency records subject to your request that are identified on enclosed Appendix A and at numbers five through eight on enclosed Appendix B are already available for public inspection and copying in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR), 1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC. Also, copies of NUREG reports may be purchaseo oirectly from the National Technical Information Service, Springfield, VA 22161. Enclosed is information on procedures and charges for obtaining copies of records placed in the PDR. To obtain copies of the records identified at numbers one through four on Appendix B, you may write to the official whose nanie and address are provided below.
