Dear Mr. Denton:
During telecons on September 30 and October 1, 1986, your staff requested information supporting the use of the Leak Before Break concept for establishing the acceptability of masonry walls at Dresden Station.
This approach was applied to walls associated with the Reactor Water Cleanup System (RWCU) as previously documented in our 180-day reports submitted in response to I.E.Bulletin 80-11.
The enclosed report demonstrates the applicability of Leak Before Break to the RWCU system piping.
