FORTHCOMING MEETING WITH GEORGIA POWER COMPANY (GPC)

DATE & TIME: Thursday, June 19, 1986 9:00 a.m.

LOCATION: Phillips Building, Room P.110 Bethesda, Md.

PURPOSE: GPC requested this meeting to discuss its program to improve Unit 1 and 2 Technical Specifications. It will include a discussion of GPCs use of 1) the SAFER /GESTR results to determine revised setpoints, 2) equipment performance analysis to revise and extend the allowed equipment outage time, 3) portions of BWR Owners Group RPS/ECCS instrumentation surveillance improvements, and 4) reduced scope standardized Technical Specifications. GPC would like to get staff comments on the viability of its proposed program and concerning whether the staff is willing to commit staff resources on a timely basis review the GPC changes when they are submitted.
